Zapier Integration

Connect Makeform to Zapier to send submissions into other apps and workflows.

Makeform provides a Zapier app connection. Use it when you want no-code automation across tools like CRMs, email platforms, spreadsheets, and project management apps.

When to use Zapier

Use Zapier when you want to automate work after someone submits a form.

Common workflows:

  • Add a lead to a CRM.
  • Create a task from a support request.
  • Send a notification to another tool.
  • Add a row to a spreadsheet.
  • Start an email sequence.

Connect with Zapier

  1. Open your form.
  2. Go to the Automations tab.
  3. Choose Zapier.
  4. Open the Zapier connection.
  5. In Zapier, choose Makeform as the trigger app.
  6. Choose the form submission trigger.
  7. Map Makeform fields into the destination app.
  8. Test and turn on the Zap.

You can also open the Makeform Zapier app directly:

Best practices

  • Test with a real submission before turning on the Zap.
  • Use stable field names so mappings do not break when labels change.
  • Keep required destination fields mapped.
  • If a workflow is business-critical, add a notification step for failures.

Troubleshooting

Zapier does not show the form

Reconnect Makeform in Zapier, then refresh the trigger setup.

A mapped field is blank

Check whether the respondent actually answered that field and whether the field name changed.

The Zap does not run

Check that the Zap is turned on and the Makeform trigger test succeeds.
